We Are Eating and Being Born, 2020, is a body of work about childhood neglect, bedroom trauma and the inevitable distortion of memory. Each photoset and accompanying writing addresses a resentment that is complicated by feelings of love and loyalty. The music piece portrays ambiguity and denial through storytelling, complex vocal layering and nostalgia.
